Self-Care Tips and Practices

Yesterday you explored poor self-care. Today you are going to explore self-care tips.

Now go through the “self-care tips and ideas list” and write in your journal some of the simple things that you might be able to do to take care of your overall wellbeing. Once you have made the list, I’d like you to choose one of them and for the next week, I want you to introduce that self-care tip into your daily life.

Once you have confidently introduced the self-care tip, go back to the list and choose what resonates with you and slowly introduce them one by one into your life. You may do one a week or introduce more than one per week.

Feel free to do some research on self-care and add them to your current list.

Self-care tips and ideas:

  • Healthy eating
  • Regular exercise
  • Lots of sleep
  • Better time management
  • Meditation/relaxation
  • Breathing exercises
  • Yoga/stretching
  • Start your day with a healthy breakfast
  • Be kind to yourself
  • Challenge your thought process
  • Be open to change
  • Keep a gratitude journal

I really hope that introducing some self-care into your life will help alleviate some of the exhaustion that you may be experiencing and give you some well-deserved time out from your grief symptoms.
